The yellow MetroCard wasn't designed to become a New York icon. It was designed to get you from Point A to Point B, preferably with $2.75 still left on it. Funny how things work out. Our vintage-inspired MetroCard Tray preserves one of the city's most recognizable everyday objects in restaurant-grade ceramic: bright yellow, unmistakably New York, and considerably harder to lose than the original. Use it as a catchall for the little things you actually want to find again.

Perfect For: Keys, coins, jewelry, desk odds and ends, and anyone who remembers when “Please Swipe Again” could ruin a perfectly good morning.

Pairs Well With: A bacon, egg & cheese, an unnecessarily complicated subway transfer, and very strong opinions about which train is the worst.

What people are saying

“NOTHING SAYS NEW YORK QUITE LIKE SEEING THAT YELLOW METROCARD AGAIN. EXCEPT MAYBE SOMEONE YELLING THAT THERE'S ANOTHER TRAIN DIRECTLY BEHIND THIS ONE.”

— @nextstopnyc

“I BOUGHT THIS BECAUSE IT REMINDED ME OF TWENTY YEARS OF SUBWAY RIDES. NOW IT HOLDS MY KEYS, WHICH FEELS APPROPRIATE SINCE APPARENTLY THIS TRAY IS RESPONSIBLE FOR GETTING ME OUT THE DOOR TOO.”

— Jamie R., Brooklyn

“EVERY NEW YORKER WHO COMES OVER IMMEDIATELY NOTICES IT. IT'S USEFUL, FUNNY, AND JUST SENTIMENTAL ENOUGH WITHOUT TURNING MY APARTMENT INTO A SUBWAY MUSEUM.”

— @standclearofthedoors
